This extremely well-crafted thriller is for readers who loved Girl on the Train and Gone Girl – with a good dollop of Hitchcock (think Rear Window) thrown in. The main character Anna Fox suffers from agoraphobia due to childhood trauma, and as she locks herself away in her home, she has three main habits: drinking too much (combined with her prescription meds – not a good idea!), incessantly watching vintage horror movies, and secretly spying on the neighbors for voyeuristic purposes.
